Products by Tyrrell's Wines:

Company email (February 2014):
"Unfortunately this wine is not suitable for vegans, it is made using egg whites as a fining agent.
However, if you’re looking for vegan friendly Tyrrells reds, our premium Vat 8 and Vat 9 Shiraz are both totally compliant, and great examples of high quality Shiraz from the Hunter Valley.

Yes the Barnivore listing is correct, all those wines are suitable for vegans.
The McLaren Vale Rufus Stone has occassionally had egg white addition depending on the vintage, so best to leave this one alone, to be sure."

Company email (April 2013):
"All our white wines and our more commercial red wines are made with some form of animal product like milk or egg whites, however our higher quality red wines are all made without animal products.

If you’d like to look at our full range of wines on our website, the following red wines are vegan friendly:

Rufus Stone Heathcote Shiraz
Stevens Shiraz
Johnno’s Shiraz
4 Acres Shiraz
Lunatiq Shiraz
Vat 9 Shiraz
Vat 8 Shiraz Cabernet

The Rufus Stone Shiraz can be found at most good bottle shops throughout Australia, including Woolworths and Dan Murphys, though some of the other wines you might only get from specialist wine stores or direct from Tyrrells themselves (you can order online on the website), and the wine can be delivered to your door."

Company email (November 2012):
"Unfortunately none of the Moores Creek range is vegan-friendly. We use milk product to fine the white wines and egg whites to fine the reds.
All of our wines are manufactured here, in the Hunter Valley of NSW."
