Chateau Montelena Winery is vegan friendly

Company email (May 2021) "While our wines do not have any "vegan" designation on their label, and there are varying rules and standards followed by organizations that certify products as vegan, I'd think our wines would qualify as vegan. We do not use any animal byproducts in the filtering/fining process, which is the area where some wines may fail to qualify as vegan. So while I cannot point to any certification, I think our wine would be suitable for vegans based on what I have read." We have no way of guaranteeing that egg whites were not used in the vintage you purchase, however, we can only state that any animal byproducts are removed from the wine."
