Company email (January 2013):
"It looks to me that the information that you have for our wines is outdated and inaccurate. Due to the nature of our business, it’s almost impossible to guarantee that our wines are vegan friendly so therefore, we would not want our wines listed as so."

Company email:
"Actually, all of the rest of our wines are vegan friendly. The two wines I listed are the only two wines I have used fining agents on in the past couple of years. I can’t make any promises moving forward on all of our wines. But I hope to continue my trend of limited fining. I hope this helps you out and puts your mind at ease. But feel free to check in periodically with me if you would like."

Company email:
"I wanted to tell you with confidence that our Smoking Loon and Pepperwood Grove wines are completely vegan friendly. We try to avoid the use of fining agents in all our wines by making the wines correctly from the beginning. I can only remember two wines in the past couple of years that I have used a fining agent on (and both were wines in higher tier programs, our Aquinas 2004 Napa Cab Sauv and one lot of 2007 Argentina Malbec that has not been bottled yet). I hope this helps answer your question. Thank you for asking and I hope that you continue to enjoy Smoking Loon and Pepperwood Grove wines as a part of your healthy vegan diet. "
