Company email (May 2022)
"Lots of good questions. We centrifuge our beers, so there are no other filtration aids. We use yeastex(dead yeast cells) as a yeast nutrient and Irish moss(a type of sea weed) to remove protein break in the kettle. Generally there aren’t any animal products in our products, though we do use lactose in a couple. Our new hazy IPA (Oh be Hazy) and the next Wild Things (Campfire Bandit) which will be out in the spring has lactose and milk chocolate respectively. In addition, the current edition of our Pinch of Salt series titled Peach Cobbler has lactose as well. Brown Sugar Brown Cow and Carnaval use a cream extract which is derived from cream but is shelf stable. There aren’t any others currently produced that have any animal products in their production. That includes Head of the Horsemen to your question."
