Company email:
"Duck Pond Cellars and Desert Wind Winery does use animal based fining agents in several of the company’s wines. Some fining agents, such as gelatin, are not completely soluble in wine, and are therefore removed via sterile filtration prior to bottling. Other fining agents, such as skim milk, do completely dissolve in the wine and remain in the beverage. The winery currently has the following wines available, which have not been treated with any animal based products:

2005 Duck Pond Cellars Sangiovese
2006 Duck Pond Cellars Pinot Noir
2006 Duck Pond Cellars Gewurztraminer
2006 Duck Pond Cellars Riesling
2007 Duck Pond Cellars Pinot Grigio

2006 Desert Wind Merlot
2006 Desert Wind Cabernet Sauvignon
2006 Desert Wind Chardonnay
2006 Desert Wind Ruah
