"We do currently use gelatin in almost all our beers. We will have a seasonal Portlandia Pilsner, coming out in draft and bottle in June-August. It will be Vegan by virtue of it being filtered rather then fined."

"We are currently using gelatin in most all of our beers. We have been unable to locate a suitable substitution for gelatin, or institute major changes that could compromise the quality of our beer."

"Thanks for your inquiry about our beer and its vegan status. We do occasionally use organic gelatin as a processing aid in our beer. We've been working for several years to eliminate the use of animal products in our beer while maintaining our quality standards. However, at this time, gelatin is the best option for clarifying our beer. While it doesn't end up in the final product we are aware that its use may be unacceptable to some folks.

Feel free to contact me in the future regarding the vegan status of our beer. As I said, it has been a goal to eliminate all animal products from our production process."
