Company email (May 2014): "we haven't used in honey in a long while, but most breweries (if they're being 1000 percent honest) would steer away from calling their beers vegan. This is because, in our case, we use a filtration system that basically filters through soil at one stage of the brewing process. For this reason there is a tiny chance there could be some type of animal matter there, and therefore we couldn't hand on our heart say it's vegan." Company email (circa 2011): "I am led to believe that the White Ale is no good because of the honey we use, however the Dark Ale contains no animal products, so can be included"
