"Our Quality Control Department states that Fontana Candida wines do not
contain animal ingredients. However, small quantities (in the order of
fractions of g / l) of isinglass and casein (the latter only in white
wines - it's derived from milk) are used in the processing/filtration of
the product, in particular for the clarification; these substances then
precipitate and are removed by decanting and subsequent filtration. In
wine there are not even traces of these substances, since these
substances are un-dissolvable in wine."

"The winery informs us that in the fining process, gelatin is used for Riunite red wines and casein is used for Riunite white wines. The winery noted that even though the above animal-derived products are used in the fining process, no trace is left in the wine since these substances are un-dissolvable in wine. Therefore, the wines are vegan.(ED NOTE: not by Barnivore's definition)"
