"We do not use any ingredients in our wine that are animal derived. We use a very gentle winemaking approach that has very minimal intervention. Our process for clarification addition is largely singular in nature and is done with a product called bentonite which is essentially a clay with a naturally occurring negative ion charge. If we require a secondary clarification due to high proteins in a wine, we use a product called Vegecoll from a company named Laffort (this is very seldom required but is vegetable based). The remaining clarification happens using temperature control (cold stabilization). For filtration we use a very course cellulose cartridge filter as the prep and at bottling only use cross flow filtration that is very gentle and uses ceramic membranes with no animal products at all."
