"I rarely use fining agents in my current winemaking process and [2014 Black Label Old Vine Zinfandel] contains no egg, milk, fish or gelatin products. Fining agents do have a place for really rough tannic wines, in which case there are times when its the only way to bring a wine back into balance. I try to take a fairly minimal approach to winemaking as much as I can."
