They do not use isinglass or egg product in the fining process." Company email: "The Chardonnay is not “vegan friendly.” Company email: "Duck Pond Cellars and Desert Wind Winery does use animal based fining agents in several of the company’s wines. Some fining agents, such as gelatin, are not completely soluble in wine, and are therefore removed via sterile filtration prior to bottling. Other fining agents, such as skim milk, do completely dissolve in the wine and remain in the beverage.
