Company email (July 2025)

"Our cans and kegs (not casks) are 100% vegan friendly.

"Our bottles are vegan friendly but they are processed by a large facility who will not allow us to say so. So we have to say they aren’t vegan friendly.

"Our casks (not kegs) aren’t vegan friendly. We still use isinglass to clarify our casks."

Company email (May 2020)

"The cans are completely unfiltered whereas the bottles do get filtered. Depending on how visually clear the beer is pre filtration the treatment the beer gets prior to and while being filtered may be varied. Some of the treatments used are classed as non-vegan (isinglass). So there is a chance that the bottles will be ran without any treatment but it varies so it is safer to say they are non-vegan." [We can't find any cans on their website]

Company email (February 2019)
"Nothing has changed in how we produce and package to alter the description below. We would like to be able to cater for the Vegan market at some point in the future but it is not where we are just at the moment."

Company email (June 2013):
"All our beers contain isinglass which sediments wholly to the bottom of the cask when it is attached to yeast & protein particles; it generally forms a compact reasonably solid sediment in the base of the cask.
The bottled beers are clarified in the same way then filtered packed & pasteurised."
