Company email (June 2016):
"we do not use isinglass as a filtering agent, or any other agents you add to the tank. We filter with a lenticular filter with different micron pads in it to filter the beer. Our Sea Cow Milk Stout and Mayday Imperial Cream Porter contain lactose (milk sugar). The point of lactose in milk stouts is that brewers yeast cannot eat the lactose and convert it into alcohol like it does with simple sugars. This gives the stout a sweeter finish, which is why it is also sometimes called a Sweet Stout, or Milk Stout."
Note from Kristen (June 2015):
"I also called Saltwater Brewery and they stated that they use isinglass in all of their beers, so none are vegan."
