" I have just been informed on a tour at their vineyard that they use egg whites for filtration. Very annoyed as I even called them directly to check before booking the tour and was told by two separate people on the phone that they were vegan. It was only when we got to the part of the tour where they told us about the filtration process that the guide said they use egg whites "so I'm sorry if you're vegan"(!!!) I spoke to the guide at the end of the tour and she apologized and said there may have been a misunderstanding on the phone because they have always used egg whites. Maybe the person I spoke to thought I meant vegetarian?"
