Waitrose

Dan notes (November 2020) that their website lists their low alcohol Cider as vegan (though see below for past issues with their site's accuracy) Jen notes (June 2019) "The waitrose website also lists [Blackburn & James Shiraz] as vegan. However I bought it recently and was very unwell after drinking it, and yesterday in my local Waitrose store I noticed that the bottle says ‘contains sulphites and milk’." Company email (November 2018) "I have had a response from the buyer [for San Leo Brut Prosecco] they have stated that It is listed as being suitable for vegetarians and vegans." Company email (October 2017) "This wine, Waitrose Côtes du Rhône Villages, is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans because it is not 'fined'." [Gregory sent in a spreadsheet of vegan options February 2016] Company email (December 2015): "I have looked into this for you and can confirm the Blackburn & James Californian wines are listed as suitable for Vegans." Note from Lillah (January 2014): "I was recently given a bottle of la rosca cava brut exclusive to waitrose as a gift, I was unable to ascertain if it was vegan suitable so I contacted waitrose...they have informed me that yes it is suitable for vegans!"
