"Thats a fair question. We do use various agents in the winemaking process for fining and clarification, some are made from animal products and some are not. The few that we sometimes use would be casein(milk protein), isinglass(dehydrated/powdered sturgeon air
bladders), and egg whites. I can tell you that we have not used these products since 2008. Its always my goal as a winemaker to never use fining/clarification/
filtration/cold stabilization etc. on our wines, and
only in situations where its absolutely necessary would I even consider it. I hope this brief explanation helps. If you are interested in purchasing our wines the current 2009 ASV releases are animal product FREE!! And i can assure you i will continue to make them that way. Take care"
