"The simple yet vague answer is that some do and some do not. I will
use isinglass finings in lighter colored beers, but not in things like
the porter or the stout. I have used honey on occasion to make
specialty beers like a braggot but I also make a beer called Honey
Cream which is made with a malt that tastes like honey, but no honey
is actually used. I do not do any sort of filtration. I hope that this
information helps. "
