"I can assure you that no animal products are used or needed in the production of our beer. Isinglass or gelatin finings are used in some breweries to coagulate unstable malt protiens and tannins in the brew kettle to help clarify the wort before fermentation. These agents then settle out with the yeast and sink to the bottom of the fermentor and are then removed prior to filtration or conditioning removing the precursurs of what is called chill haze when the beer is chilled down.
We use a seaweed based kettle coagulant to accomplish the same conditions. "
