What the company told us

Correspondence on record, with the date of each entry.

Company email (January 2017) "We do produce some vegan friendly wines, mainly Sauvignon Blanc’s. Currently we have the following vegan friendly wines open on tasting; Traditional Methode Sparkling Wine DAWN 2012 Wairau Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2016 Godfreys Creek Reserve Pinot Gris 2016 Premium Sauvignon Blanc 2016 All those wine haven’t been filtered with any kind of animal product" Company email (November 2011) All of our sauvignon blancs are vegan every year. If we do need to fine our sauvignon blancs which is necessary every three years or so then we will use a vegan friendly product. Unfortunately there is no hard and fast rule for the other varieties we make. Every year different levels of bitterness are produced in the grape skins and different treatments are used to make the best wine we can. As 2011 was a high phenolic (bitter) year the only other white wine we produced without the use of milk products is Pioneer Block 9 Riesling 2011.
