Company email (August 2016) "Re: animal ingredients- we make an Oyster Stout that is made with live oysters and a Belgian Tripel that uses honey (as most tend to be). Additionally, we may reuse a yeast that fed on honey for a specialty beer, so, it is best for a guest to inquire. That said, every inch of equipment used in our brewing and kegging system is cleaned with Nitric & Phosphoric acids and then Paracetic acids that leave no traces of previous beers. Re: fining agents- we use a product called Biofine Clear that is a solution of colloidal silicon dioxide and is vegan. The vegan guests that we've had ask questions have been invited to inspect our facility and learn our process. One such guest is the owner of a local vegan food store and was delighted to learn our beers are clarified with non-animal products and that the vast majority of our beers have no interaction with yeast that has fed on honey.
