Company email (May 2015):
"The statement that our beers are "not vegan friendly" is a blanket statement. Better be safe than sorry, type thing. We're constantly coming up with new recipes and variations on those recipes with additives and infusions. We do use honey, milk and milk sugar in a few of our beers. These are Chaco Canyon Honey Gold, Fallen Angel Sweet Stout, Collapsar Oatmeal Stout and Carpe Brewem Mochachino Milk Stout. Whenever a beer of ours contains a unique ingredient, we mark it as so on the label.

You would be happy to know that the majority of our beers are free from animal products. We don't use isinglass, or any other filtration products for that matter. All of our beers are unfiltered and unpasteurized.

Empyrean vegan-safe brands would include*:

Burning Skye Scottish
Luna Sea ESB
Watch Man IPA
Third Stone Brown
Dark Side Vanilla Porter
Super Nova Summer Fest
Domino Effect Transition Ale
Carpe Brewem Mango IPA
Carpe Brewem Big Old Red Ale
Carpe Brewem Harvest Ale
Carpe Brewem Lemon Weizen

*Please note, that while we do not add animal products to the beers listed above, I do not guarantee the suppliers of our ingredients can verify the same. Neither our products or suppliers are Vegan Certified."

Company email (December 2014):
"Thank you, but our products do not qualify as vegan friendly."
