Company email (May 2014):
"'All our processing is done in-house from grape to glass, but not all our wines are vegan friendly. Some of them, based on the wine or vintage, are fined with isinglass. Here is a list of current wines that are not fined with animal products according to our Associate Winemaker. Not all of these are available to taste on a daily basis, but they are probably pouring the Russian River Pinot Noir, the Misterra Pinot Noir, and the Pinot Meunier.

2011 Pinot Meunier
2011 Barrel 16 Pinot Noir
2011 Freestone Pinot Noir
2011 Russian River Pinot Noir
2012 Misterra Pinot Noir"

Note from Katie (January 2014):
"I contacted J Vineyards and Winery and they informed me that in the processing of their sparkling wine, there are trace amounts of protein from soluble casein used at harvest time. There are also some animal products used in the production process of some of their varietal wines, namely isinglass. However, their following wines are vegan:

2011 Pinot Meunier
2011 Barrel 16 Pinot Noir
2011 Freestone Pinot Noir
2010 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
2010 Robert Thomas Pinot Noir
2011 Russian River Pinot Noir
2012 Misterra Pinot Noir
2010 Strata Pinot Noir"

Company email (December 2013):
"Unfortunately our wines are not vegan as we use very little amounts of products animal-related or that come into close contact with animal products in both our vineyards and wine."
