Company email (November 2012):
"I can confirm that all our bottled & keg beers are vegan friendly as we only clarify using filtration however our cask beers do use isinglass for clarification in cask.
We produce all our beers on site."

Company email (November 2012):
"I am pleased to say that Proper Job on keg is suitable for Vegans, as the beer is filtered we do no use isinglass finings in this product."

Company email:
"St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask. As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.

St Austell bottled beers are clarified by filtration, and do not contain and added isinglass finings. St Austell bottled beers may therefore be consumed by vegetarians and vegans.

No other animal derived ingredients or process aids are used in the production of St Austell Brewery beers."

Company Reply:
"All of our casks conditioned beers, as is the case with the vast majority of cask conditioned beers, use isinglass finings to aim clarification. Our bottled beers do not use isinglass and are suitable for vegans and vegetarians.'
