Company email (June 2016):
"We filter all of our beers with a centrifuge which would make the addition of gelatin or isinglass pointless. All of our recipes are vegan friendly with the exception of our "Joe Coffee Porter" which contains lactose sugar. All of our products are manufactured at our facility in Philadelphia."

Company email (September 2012):
"To answer your question, we do not use any animal products in our beers at all. We did use lactose in our Market Stout that we brewed for Reading Terminal's anniversary earlier this year."

Company email (September 2012):
"No, we don't use gelatin."

Company email (September 2011):
NOTE, THIS IS UNDER REVIEW AS WE JUST (OCT 2011) GOT A MAIL SAYING THEY STILL USE GELATIN)

"We do not use any gelatin of any kind in any of our beers."

Company Email: July 2009
" We do use gelatin - until we find a better way we are trying to use it as little as possible. Gelatin is not the same as fish guts (isinglass) but can be equally offensive since gelatin is usually made from animal cartilage (yep its nasty)! Dichotomous earth is all natural - its pretty much just sand. All finings do get filtered out (with the de) of the beer in the end but...
Anyways we use nothing at all in Walt or Fleur. Our brewer, John Rehm (john@philadelphiabrewing.com) has a list of folks to email the day we stop fining the others. If you want to email him he will put you on that list.

"Kevin - we have been using DE to filter for awhile now with great results. We are still using gelatin for some of the beers, some of the time. Because of the efficiency of the DE filtration we are getting close to not having to use it.
The Walt Wit and Fleur de Lehigh are still completely unfiltered. We are close to eliminating gelatin from the Kenzinger - but not there just yet.
- John"

Company Email: June 2009
"We use dichotomous earth for filtering our beers.

Company email: March 2008
"We are fining our brews with gelatin (except for the Wit - which is totally unfiltered) although the gelatin is later removed in the lagering and filtration process. We are not using honey in any of our beers yet - and probably will avoid that for the main 4 beers. We will let everybody know if we do release one that uses honey."
