Company email (April 2018)

"All my products unless they are made using honey are suitable for vegans and if I use honey, rest assured I sing about it on the label as it is a good usp!

"It sounds like you know your stuff as you ask about chitosan. I have had occasion to need this fining agent and I went to great length to source a vegan friendly version, which i decided not to use and took a harder route to the same end and neither did I use the cheap non vegan one either.

"I also will not use any other animal derived fining products or processing aids. All processing aids I do use are checked for suitability for vegans and non gmo origin.

"Therefore I would be proud to be carried on your database as I actively work to keep my products clean.

"Here is my ingredients list for Firestarter and my other 'dry fermented ciders': Apple Juice, sulphur dioxide (less than 100parts per million) water (no more than 15% and only used to correct alcohol level)

"And here is my ingredients list for my naturally sweet ciders: apple juice, sulphur dioxide ( no more than 100 parts per million). Keeving enzyme (less than 0.1%) calcium carbonate (less than 0.5%)."

Sid Notes: "At the moment, none of the ciders contain honey. PressHead is a new name for an older company and Denis occasionally used honey in those (differently named) ciders. With PressHead, he may use honey again in the future."
