Products by The Five Points Brewing Company Ltd:

Company email (July 2023)
"As of April this year, we have started using vegan finings for our cask ale products.

As enough time has elapsed and *hopefully* all the cask stock that was out to our trade customers that wasn't vegan has now been drunk, we feel it's safe to say that our cask listings on Barnivore can now be listed as vegan.

Also, I'm not sure why our Citrus Pale was initially listed as not vegan, but this should definitely be listed as vegan."

Company email (February 2022)
"Only the Railway Porter is vegan on cask. I'm afraid our other cask ales (XPA, Pale, and Best) are not vegan"

Company email (August 2019)
"Indeed all of our beers are vegan with the exception of:
Pale CASK, XPA CASK, Best CASK and Citrus Pale Ale CASK.

"There may be some special release/seasonal casks (such as Citrus) that pop up that are NOT Vegan, so always worth checking in for those! But besides the ones mentioned above, ALL core range are vegan friendly. And all Cans, Bottles and Kegs no matter what the beer is are vegan friendly

"You'll be happy to know we got Vegan accredited two weeks ago, and that we are rapidly acting to find an alternative to Issinglass so we can be 100% vegan friendly across all product types"

Company email (March 2018)
"Currently all our beers except for XPA and Pale, in cask format only, are completely vegan friendly. We do offer them both in an unfined, vegan friendly version.

"We are actively exploring vegan friendly fining options and are committed to make those two cask beers permanently vegan in the very near future so that 100% of our entire range is vegan friendly."

Company email (December 2014):
"Just wanted to update our beer page to include some more beers we've created:
Old Greg's Barley Wine - 8.5% ABV - vegan friendly
London Smoke (aka Smoke & Mirrors) Imperial Porter - 7.8% ABV - vegan friendly
Five Points IPA - 7.1% ABV - bottle and keg vegan friendly, cask not vegan"

Company email (July 2013):
"One of our fans on Facebook has made us aware of your excellent website, and I'd like to share the low-down of our beer here at The Five Points Brewing Company, letting you know what is vegan and what isn't.

We do 3 beers: our Five Points Pale, our Hook Island Red and our Railway Porter. Our Five Points Pale is 4.4%, brewed with Citra, Centennial and Amarillo hops. The Hook Island Red is a red rye ale at 6%, brewed with Chinook, Columbus and Simcoe hops. Our Railway Porter is made with East Kent Goldings and is 4.8%.

We do use isinglass (fish finings) for our cask versions of our Five Points Pale and Hook Island Red, but all our beer in bottle and on keg is vegan-friendly. Furthermore, the Railway Porter is vegan in all formats, whether cask, keg or bottle.

This goes for the many incarnations of these beers as well, which you can see online on Untappd, ie our First Brews and Trial Brews series.

At the moment we are still building our website and this information will be on there, but it will be really good to have this information on Barnivore. We want to make sure people are aware of which beers are vegan and which are not friendly for vegans and vegetarians."
