Products by Northgate Brewing:

Company email (December 2017)
"I cannot say historically when they may have changed, but they use and we will continue to use a vegan friendly fining agent going forward at Northgate... I did double check the [fining] product data sheet and it said it was vegan friendly. It is not eisenglass or gelatin."

Company email (March 2013):
"We currently use a seaweed based product as a fining agent. We don't filter. Our ingredients for our current brews (Wall's End and Maggie's Leap) are just Barley, Water, Yeast, and Hops - and Lactose for Maggie's Leap. We treat the water with some different salts. We use yeast nutrient which does not specify the origin of its constituents but my guess is its a yeast product. And that's everything that goes into our beer.

So it looks like there is no problem here!

However - please understand that we make no specific claims to be vegan-friendly and may not check to ensure vegan-friendliness in future brews or processes."

Company email (March 2013):
"We don't isinglass but I am not 100% sure the exact ingredients in our kettle finings. Our sweet stout does have lactose sugar in it but Wall's End is just the big four, Water, Malt, Hops, Yeast. Our next seasonal will only have the additions of orange peel and ginger."
